André Azevedo da Fonseca

Biography

Professor and researcher at the Center for Education, Communication and Arts (CECA) of the State University of Londrina (UEL). PhD in History from the Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp), with a postdoctoral degree from the Advanced Program of Contemporary Culture of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).

Author of "Cotidianos culturais e outras histórias (Uniube, 2004)" and "A construção do mito Mário Palmério (Unesp, 2012)", among others. He won several national and international awards, such as Unesco's "Innovate to Teach" (2016); Science Slam Brazil, from Euraxess (2016); "Applied Research", of Itaú Cultural (2010); and "University Writer Award", from the Brazilian Academy of Letters (2004), among others.

Research interests, with an emphasis on interdisciplinarity in the Human and Applied Social Sciences, include Technological Imaginaries, Myths in Media and Political Mythologies.
