Biography
As associated professor at Lausanne’s Haute Ecole de la Santé La Source, Blaise Guinchard has conducted numerous research studies on a wide variety of healthcare issues. His teaching and research focuses are notably on public policy as it pertains to the roles of different health professionals including community care assistants, nurses and clinicians. His work is influenced by perspectives gained through a broad variety of educational and work experiences. Initial training in psychiatric nursing led to positions in mental health care, especially critical care and rehabilitation. He also holds advanced degrees in public policy, sociology and pedagogy. In addition to his position at La Source, he served as Vice-Chairman of Neuchâtel Hospital’s Board of Governors.
