Biography

Jennifer Waymont is currently working in Professional Services at Wrexham University as a Planning Manager. Previously, she worked as a research fellow in clinical brain sciences, studying brain health using brain MR imaging. Prior to this, Jenny worked as a research officer for Brain Health Scotland, leading on a project mapping the current landscape of memory/cognitive clinics in Scotland. Jenny obtained her PhD in medical imaging from the University of Aberdeen, with a thesis on automated detection and risk factors for brain white matter hyperintensities. Jenny continued to collaborate with the Aberdeen Biomedical Imaging Centre at the University of Aberdeen as an honorary research fellow. Before moving to Scotland, she studied for a BSc (Psychology with Clinical & Health Psychology), and MScs (Psychological Research (2014-2015), and Neuroimaging (2015-16)) at Bangor University, North Wales.
