Biography

My research focus is on generating a solid foundation for precision medicine and facilitating clinical implementation for neurological disorders. This include The Danish Headache Biobank, The Danish Multiple Sclerosis Center and the Danish Blood Donor Study Genomic Consortium, which latter now include the largest population cohort on migraine and have with treatment response and genetic data on diagnostic valid migraine individuals (N>62K).
With my groups aim to leverage population cohorts and aiming at elucidating the impact of sub-groups of clinical diagnosing, treatment, and comorbidity for neurological disorders. So far we have covered treatment outcome and susceptibility of cluster headache, trigeminal neuralgia, multiple sclerosse, medication over-user headache, migraine, and neuropathy .
I would emphasize that my group efforts for promoting gender stratified approaches, which is has been neglected although there are obvious mechanisms for such e.g. menstrual migraine.
