Biography

I am a Lecturer in Finance with Habilitation at Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași, Romania, and a Scientific Researcher at National Institute for Economic Research, Romanian Academy. Previously, I was a Fulbright Scholar at University of Michigan, Flint campus, and a Research Fellow at University of Konstanz.

My research focuses on individual and systemic risk, business and financial cycles, financial intermediation and empirical finance.

I have published in International Journal of Central Banking, Journal of Banking and Finance and Journal of Financial Stability, among other journals.
