In 2018, based on the already existing experience, on the initiative of Valery Zaitsev, the Regional Center of Endoscopic Urology was created. The main goal of the Center was to provide treatment for patients with complex urological and oncourological pathology with the introduction of new modern surgical techniques. Since then, laparoscopic kidney resection, nephrectomy and radical prostatectomy have been performed for the first time in Bukovina. These operations made it possible to bring the level of assistance closer to international standards.
After the start of the war with russia, Valery Zaitsev was actively involved in the treatment and recovery of wounded servicemen.
He regularly speaks on television and in the press on various issues of urology, drawing attention to the most socially important diseases - prostate cancer and hyperplasia, problems with urination, urolithiasis, as well as promotion of a healthy lifestyle. Valery Zaitsev himself is a supporter of this - football, hiking in the Carpathians, cycling trips, mountain skiing are just his main hobbies. He believes that a doctor with a belly that is visible from the entrance to the office cannot explain to the patient that he should eat less and lose weight in order to normalize blood pressure or prostate problems - he simply will not be listened to.
