Biography

Early postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at the University of Fribourg (Parisod Group, Switzerland). Currently working on transposable elements (TEs) dynamics in Brassicaceae and the impact of chromosomal rearrangements on plant speciation and environmental adaptation. During my PhD studies at the University of Zurich (Wicker group) I studied symbiotic interactions in lichen holobionts and genomic adaptation of Triticeae species (wheat, barley, and rye) to fungal diseases and enviromental stresses, with a focus on TEs.
In the future, my objective is to explore the interaction between endosymbionts, pathogens and host to improve plant resilience to abiotic and biotic stresses.
