Biography
Renato de Filippis, MD, PhD, is an Italian Early Career Adult Psychiatrist (ECP), and Research Fellow at the University Magna Graecia of Catanzaro (Italy). He completed the 4-year residency school in Psychiatry at the University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli" in Naples. He currently works as clinician and researcher in the Psychiatric Unit of University "Magna Graecia" of Catanzaro (Italy) directed by Prof. Pasquale De Fazio. Renato does research in clinical psychiatry and he works as a clinical psychiatrist mainly dealing with schizophrenia and related disorders and psychopharmacology. In 2019 he spent 1-year rotation as Visiting Research Scientist at the Department of Psychiatry Research, Zucker Hillside Hospital (NY, USA), directed by Prof. Christoph U. Correll and Prof. John M. Kane. Currently, he is PhD in Life Sciences-Psychiatry at University "Magna Graecia" of Catanzaro (Italy) with a three-year project about psychopharmacology in schizophrenia. Member of ECPs section of SIP, EPA and WPA, World Network of Psychiatric Trainees (WNPT), and Global Mental Health Think Tank.
