Biography

Professor at the Department of Chemistry and at the Postgraduate Program in Chemical and Biochemical Process Technology (PPGTP) at the Federal University of Technology - Paraná (UTFPR). My works are mainly in the field of Heterogeneous Catalysis with emphasis on catalyst's synthesis for energy and environmental applications. The main studies include the development of mixed oxides with ferrite structure for photocatalytic decontamination of wastewater, mixed oxides based on CeO2 for selective catalytic reduction of NOx, mixed oxides with perovskite structure for the production of H2 and immobilization of enzymes in different supports aiming biotechnological applications.

Chemical Engineer graduated at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), Master and Doctor in Chemical Engineering at the Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute for Graduate Studies and Research in Engineering at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro - COPPE/UFRJ. I also developed research related to polymer biodegradation at the Laboratory of Enzymatic Technology at the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ).
