Biography

Dr. Afaf Tareef is currently an associate professor in the Computer Science department at the faculty of information technology, Mutah University, Jordan. Dr. Tareef received her PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Sydney, Australia in 2017. She received the M.S. in Computer Science from University of Jordan in 2010, where she received the academic excellence scholarship. She also ranked 1st in Bachelor degree in Computer Science from Mutah University in 2008. During her study, she has been granted numerous scholarships and awards. She has published several papers in reputed journals and conferences. Her research interests include medical image analysis, image and video processing, computer vision & pattern recognition. Dr. Tareef has taught several courses in computer science and supervised several B.Sc. and M.S. students.
