Biography

Rabih El Mouhayar graduated from the University of Lyon (UNIVERSITÉ LUMIÈRE LYON 2), in December 2007 with a doctorate in mathematics education. In 2008, he joined the American University of Beirut (AUB). At AUB he serves as Director of the Science and Math Education Center (SMEC). El Mouhayar has published in international journals such as the Educational Studies in Mathematics, Journal of Mathematics Teacher Education, International Journal of Science and Mathematics Education, Mathematics Education Research Journal and International Journal of Mathematical Education in Science and Technology, among others. In addition, he has been an active presenter at international mathematics education conferences (PME and ICME) and he chaired and co-chaired several conferences. He acted as a consultant in several projects inside and outside Lebanon.
