Biography
Adrián Jiménez Ruano holds a PhD in Environmental and Land Management by the University of Zaragoza. He also has the Degree in Geography from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), where he originally came from. He has two Master’s degrees: Geography Information Technologies: GIS and Remote Sensing (UNIZAR), and Teacher Training in Secondary Education and Baccalaureate (ULPGC). Currently, he works at the Missoula Fire Science Lab (Montana, USA) in his postdoc research about fire danger modelling. He finished his PhD thesis within the framework of GEOFOREST research group within the Department of Geography and Land Management at the University of Zaragoza. In addition, he has teaching experience in various subjects: Fundamentals of Geography and Modelling/Editing in GIS environments, as well as some basic programing skills (RStudio). He has won an Excellence Award for his academic trajectory in Geography given by the ULPGC University.
