Biography

Dr. Wei Sun is a Fulbright Specialist in Communications/Journalism. She is immediate past chair of the International and Intercultural Communication Division (IICD) of the National Communication Association (NCA) and served 3-year term at NCA's Legislative Assembly. She was the Chair of NCA's Doctoral Education Committee in 2022 and chaired NCA's Miller Dissertation Committee in 2021. Currently, Dr. Sun is the Editor-in-Chief of the Communication Reports, an official journal of the Western States Communication Association. Dr. Sun's research interests include intercultural communication, new media studies, international communication, and health communication.

Dr. Sun is a professor in the Department of Communication, Culture, and Media Studies, at Howard University. She has taught various doctoral seminars in International/intercultural Communication, Health Communication, Race, Culture and Social Justice, and New Media Studies.
