Biography
Veterinary epidemiologist, currently associate professor of Infectious Disease Epidemiology at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna, Austria, and resident scientist at Complexity Science Hub Vienna. Multidisciplinary background with positions across tropical areas and Europe, specializing in infectious diseases at human-animal interfaces. Work experience includes veterinary work in a livestock surveillance program, field epidemiology with a focus on wildlife, research on urban rat ecology and rat-borne diseases, and scientific project management. My current research bridges field epidemiology and data science, with a primary focus on zoonotic and emerging diseases, prioritizing applied research and One Health approaches.
