Biography

I was awarded a PhD by Prior Publication from Cardiff University in 2021, and am currently a Research Associate in the School of Journalism, Media and Culture. I have published extensively in the fields of media and cultural studies, with a focus on media audiences and fandom, participatory culture, digital dislike, media tourism, cult TV and nostalgia.

I’m a founding board member of the Fan Studies Network, co-chair for the SCMS Fan and Audience Studies SIG, and on the editorial board of the Journal of Fandom Studies and Transformative Works and Cultures. I am also editor for Popular Communication.
