Biography

Mohammad Amin Latify was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1980. He is an associate professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Isfahan University of Technology. He was the head of Power Group from November 2016 to January 2021. He received his B. Sc. degree from Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran, in 2002 , M. Sc. degree from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Mashhad, Iran in 2005, and Ph. D. degree from Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran in 2012, in Electrical Engineering with honors. His research interests include electricity markets and economics, smart grids, power system operation and planning and optimization theory applications.
Previously, he served as head of the department of "ELectricity Market Mechanisms Design and Development" and the department of "Electricity Market Regulation and Oversight" in "Office of Iran Electricity Market Regulatory Board" in which, he has gained several years of industrial and regulatory experiences.
