Biography

Professor Cui is a materials scientist. His research focuses on ferroic materials (ferromagnetic, ferroelectric and ferroelastic) for energy efficient and renewable energy applications. Example researches include magnetocaloric materials, permanent magnets, electrical steel, high entropy alloys, and shape memory metals. He also contributes to the field of combinatorial materials science and pioneered various high throughput bulk materials synthesis and characterization methods. Dr. Cui has 10 granted patents and over 100 peer re-viewed papers.
