Biography

I hold a PhD in Law from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) in Brazil, and I also spent a year conducting research at Oxford University in the UK. Additionally, I have a Bachelor of Law and a Master's degree in Development Studies from the Regional University of Blumenau (FURB) in Brazil. I have been working as a Senior Lecturer in IP Law at Bournemouth University since July 2022. Prior to that, I worked for four years as an Affiliate Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute in Germany. I am also an IP Expert at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Academy. Before joining the Academy, I worked as a lawyer, in a technology park, and taught part-time.
