Biography
I am an Assistant Professor affiliated with the Department of Computing (DECOM) and the Graduate Program on Computer Science (PPGCC) at the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP). My academic background includes a Master of Science (MSc) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Applied Computing, conferred by the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), Brazil, with a research focus on complex networks, collective motion, and synchronization.
During my Ph.D., I was granted a research internship abroad scholarship (BEPE) by FAPESP, which allowed me to develop research projects at the Humboldt University Berlin and Technical University for Berlin, Germany. In addition, I hold a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from the Sao Paulo State University (UNESP), during which I undertook a research internship at the Computing Science Center, University of Alberta, Canada, during the summer of 2013.
My research interests are centered around the areas of Complex Networks, Machine Learning, and Dynamical Systems.
