Biography

Prof. Letizia Polito - Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna PRESENT POSITION: Assistant Professor in General Pathology at the Department of Experimental, Diagnostic and Specialty Medicine, University of Bologna. EDUCATION: PhD in Experimental Pathology. Degree in Biological Sciences (BiolD). TEACHING: Courses of General Pathology and History of Medicine, School of Medicine, University of Bologna. SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY: The scientific activity is focused on two main topics concerning the study of plant toxins known as ribosome-inactivating proteins (RIPs), and the design and testing in vitro and in vivo of immunotoxins for the experimental therapy of tumors and for the immunosuppression. The results obtained in the researches have been published as about 70 papers in international journals. The average Impact Factor (2015) value is 4.057. Citations about1600 (h-index = 25). The obtained results have been frequently presented to several national and international meetings, with about 60 publications in meeting proceedings. Reviewer for several international journals with Impact Factor.
