Biography

Tom Jilbert is Assistant Professor in Aquatic Biogeochemistry at the University of Helsinki, Finland. His research focuses on the role of sediments in biogeochemical cycles, particularly in human-impacted systems such as the Baltic and Black Seas and eutrophied lakes in Finland. Tom graduated in Environmental Geoscience (BSc Hons.) from the University of Edinburgh, UK in 2003 and gained his PhD in Marine Geochemistry from Utrecht University, the Netherlands in 2008
