Biography

RESEARCH AREAS

Social Computing. Since computers influence and are influenced by society, modeling the implementation of technology as well its regulation provide a better understanding of the phenomenon in order to create technology more secure and better adapted to the application environment. As the field is huge, I specialized in the notion of security, how it is perceived and how one can measure it.

Conceptual Modeling. Knowledge modeling and management are paradigms to represent and store information, their relationships as well as the associated semantics. It allows the storage as well as the inference of new knowledge from the model.

Modeling in Archaeology. The simulation and modeling applied to archaeological research constitute a field in which information technologies are a keyto the interpretation of the past. Given the current complexity of the models and the amount of information obtained from them, the Big Data analysis is the flagship in this field. Modeling in archeology uses related disciplines as agent modeling, conceptual modeling, statistics, and supercomputing.

Digital Humanities. Is defined as “the use of computational methods in humanities in order to improve current methodologies or create new ones”. Currently it is the cutting edge in humanities.
