Biography
Dr. Luqman Jameel Rather previously held the position of Postdoctoral Scientist at the College of Sericulture, Textile, and Biomass Science, Southwest University, Chongqing, China, under the supervision of Prof. Qing Li. His expertise lies in textiles dyeing and finishing. He obtained his doctoral degree in Organic Chemistry (Natural Product/Medicinal Chemistry) from the Department of Chemistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India. Dr. Luqman possesses advanced proficiency in UV/Vis spectroscopy, FT-IR spectroscopy, reflectance spectroscopy, purification techniques, and research and development (R&D). He demonstrates exceptional leadership in driving and executing research endeavors, resulting in significant advancements in the field. Proficient utilization of analytical methodologies fosters innovation and operational efficiency in natural dye extraction and subsequent development of antimicrobial textiles with possible biomedical applications provides depth to his research endeavors. He exhibits adeptness in interdisciplinary collaboration, fostering a dynamic research environment.
