Artur Wysocki

Biography

Assistant Professor in The Institute of Sociology, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University. Sociologist of culture, nation and ethnic groups and intercultural relations. The research work deals with social macro-structures, civilization and national and ethnic intercultural relations (including the phenomenon of culture clash), the issue of collective identity and cultural dimension of globalization. Author of over 50 scientific articles, monograph and co-editor of two collective works. A member of the Polish Sociological Association (a member of the board of Section of Sociology of Ethnicity and the Lublin Branch). In the study of intercultural relations, he has many years of experience in being the Regional Coordinator of The Lane Kirkland Scholarship Program (http://www.kirkland.edu.pl/kirkland2017/index.php/en/). Certified moderator of Design Thinking. Completed courses in the areas of universal design, change management, project management, soft skills (communication, negotiation and conflict management), active teaching methods (Learning-by-doing) and innovative methods of data presentation.
