Biography

Has completed her graduation in 2001 in Electrical and Computers Engineering at Faculty of Science and Technology of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCT/UNL). She developed her Master of Science in the area of simulation methodologies to control distributed systems of road traffic management (FCT/UNL, 2005). In 2012 she obtained her PhD degree by FCT/UNL in the area of decision support systems for life-cycle management of industrial plants. She has published more than 25 papers in international peer review journals and conferences. Since 2003 she has been working as a researcher with strong coordination responsibilities in several international research projects at UNINOVA. Her main focus is in the area of decision in industrial environments, developing work on the topics of intelligent decision support systems, reasoning methods and expert systems, in the scope of European projects InLife (FP6), K-NET (FP7), EnPROVE (FP7), LifeSaver (FP7), C2NET (H2020) and BOOST4.0 (H2020).
