Biography
Cássio José da Silva holds a degree in Animal Science (2006) from Universidade Federal de Viçosa - MG. He completed his Masters in Animal Science in 2008 and the PhD in Animal Science in 2012 for the Federal University of Viçosa - MG. He is currently Adjunct Professor degree III at the Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine, University of Brasilia / Campus Darcy Ribeiro (FAV-UnB). He has been a Vice President of the Animal Scientists Brazilian Association of - ABZ since September 2017 and the CEO of the Brazilian Society of Animal Science - SBZ since January 2015. He coordinator a Commission on Ethic from Animal Use - CEUA of UnB since August 2017. He has been a member of the technical Chamber of Ethics, Bioethics and Animal Welfare of the CRMV-DF since January 2017. Brazilian Journal of Animal Science, Acta Scientiarum and the Brazilian Journal of Animal Health and Production / Journal of Animal Health and Production. Coordination of GPEC / UnB - Group of Studies in Livestock of UnB (Production and Nutrition of Ruminants) and is a member of research groups registered at CNPq: Research Center on Animal Sustainability and Environmental Impacts of Animal Production. He works in the area of Animal Science with emphasis on Nutrition of Ruminants, develops research in Food Evaluation for Ruminants, Ruminal Metabolism, Fecal Starch and Grain Processing.
