Biography

A nurse clinical academic since 2016, I completed a part-time mixed-methods PhD at University of Glasgow focussed on severe obesity, exploring community service usage and experience of services. Research interests include bariatric care (apart from surgery) particularly access to services, services for the housebound population, and community disciplines such as OT, district nursing, social and social care, mixed-methods community health service research particularly using real-world health and social care data and data linkage.
Clinical experience as a District Nurse with over 25 years clinical experience, mainly in community health and social care, latterly specialising in moving and handling with social care staff.
