Biography

graduated at Chemical Engineering from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2005) and obtained Master and Doctorate Degrees at Technology of Chemical and Biochemical Processes from UFRJ (2008 and 2012). Nowadays, he is Professor at Biochemical Engineering Department in UFRJ, and since 11/2018, is Visiting Researcher at IST from Universidade de Lisboa (Portugal). Has experience in Clean Technologies, focusing on Enzymatic Processes, Natural Products Valorization and Neoteric Solvents, acting on the following subjects: guarana (tannins and caffeine), Brazil nut and amaranth (proteins), buriti (carotenoids), roses (anthocyanins), saponins from Brazilian agrobiodiversity, carbohydrases, proteases, lipases, oxydases, ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents.
