Biography

Leanne Bisset is a qualified physiotherapist and a Musculoskeletal physiotherapist (APA titled). She has worked in the public and private health care sectors throughout Australia and overseas for over 30 years. Between 2008 and 2010, she was a Research Fellow in Physiotherapy at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Brisbane. She has worked as a Principal Research Fellow in a conjoint position between Griffith University and the Gold Coast Hospital Health Service from 2010-2013. Dr Bisset is an Associate Professor within the School of Health Sciences & Social Work at Griffith University (Gold Coast), and maintains part time clinical practice at Allsports Physiotherapy & Sports Medicine Clinic, Gold Coast. Her fields of expertise include chronic musculoskeletal pain, evidence based practice and the management of upper limb disorders, particularly tendinopathy. She has published over 60 papers in international peer reviewed journals and has presented her work at many national and international conferences.
