Biography

CDC is Associate Professor in Analytical Chemistry at University of Bari since 2021. She the author of 125 ISI printed papers with on average 2500 citations and H-(Hirsch) index equal to 29.

The research activity of Dr. C.D. Calvano is focused on the development of new rapid, simple, and sensitive analytical protocols for the definition of bioanalytes such as proteins, lipids, peptides by advanced mass spectrometry techniques in various fields as foodomics (detection of fraud, allergens), cultural heritage (characterization of organic binders), biomedicine (lipidomics in diseases).
She is also working on the alternative approaches to use MALDI technique for the determination of low molecular weight compounds such as sterols, chlorophylls, pigments, amino acids.
