Biography

Twohy conducts independent and collaborative research on atmospheric aerosol particles, clouds, and climate, using both field research and modeling. Most of her work involves making measurements from research aircraft in different regions around the globe. She studies how particles in clean and polluted environments form cloud droplets and ice and then influence climate through changes in cloud microphysics, radiative properties and precipitation.
