Biography

Degree in Chemical Engineering by the UFRRJ (1979), Brazil. Specialization in Minerals and Metallurgy Processing by CIMM Processing, Santiago, Chile (1997). Master degree (1999) and PhD (2013) in Mineral Engineering by the USP, Brazil. Process engineer at Remetálica, working in technical and economical projects for lithium and gold recovery (1986/1987). Project and industrial manager at Lithium Brazilian Company, being responsible for the implementation and operation of carbonate and lithium hydroxide plant (1988/1992). Currently Senior Technologist at CETEM (1993/now), working in mineral processing - emphasizing methods of ore concentration and enrichment (gravity separation and flotation), and management of multidisciplinary projects.
