Biography
Dr. Ahmed Al-Yaseri joined Center for Integrative Petroleum Research (CIPR) on December 2021 as a Research Engineer in Geophysics/Petrophysics & Geomechanics group, College of Petroleum Engineering and Geoscience, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia. His research interest focuses on rock wettability, multi-phase flow in porous media, carbon dioxide & hydrogen storage and improved hydrocarbon recovery. Al-Yaseri is the author of over 82 technical papers with 2365 Citations and 28 h-index; he holds a PhD degree from Curtin University (Australia), MSc degree from Oklahoma University (USA) and BSc degree from Baghdad University, all in Petroleum Engineering. He has more than 15 years of academic (Australian College of Kuwait/ Kuwait, Edith Cowan University/ Australian, Curtin University/ Australian and Baghdad University/Iraq) and industrial experience, and for the past eight years he has focused on CO2 and H2 storage and core-flooding experimental testing. He built/commissioned the advanced and novel reservoir facilities in the Petroleum Departments at Curtin University and Edith Cowan University (Australia). He is also involved in many collaborative research studies with CSIRO-Australia, University of New South Wells, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Curtin University and Saudi Aramco.
