Biography

Faith C. Quenzer, DO MPH obtained her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Cellular Biology and then graduated from the Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP) in 2015. Dr. Quenzer first finished her residency training in Emergency Medicine at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, California. After residency, Dr. Quenzer became a clinical research fellow for UC San Diego, Department of Emergency Medicine while she earned her MPH in Epidemiology through San Diego State University (SDSU). Dr. Quenzer is involved in the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) and has recently been appointed to be the Vice-Chair of the Committee of Social Emergency Medicine and Population Health. As co-chair of this committee, she will be leading a team of dedicated emergency physicians, who will be working in conjunction with other organizations and academic institutions in producing research focused on the health and well-being of the U.S.-Mexico border population. Dr. Faith Quenzer was also recently appointed to be an adjunct professor at the SDSU School of Public Health where she lectures on Infectious Disease Epidemiology and sits on multiple thesis defense committees. She also lectures for UC San Diego undergraduates in subjects such as Medical Microbiology and Plagues.

Dr. Faith Quenzer has multiple peer-reviewed publications in emergency medicine which include subjects such as gun violence, COVID-19, and border health. Her main research interest is U.S.-Mexico border infectious disease surveillance through the border emergency departments. She is also involved in multiple non-clinical activities such as mentorship of pre-medical and medical students along with residents.
