Biography

Professor Guangzhao Mao is the Head of School of Engineering and Chair Professor of Materials Engineering at the University of Edinburgh, the United Kingdom. Prior to joining the University of Edinburgh, she was Professor and Head of School of Chemical Engineering at University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney), Australia. Prof Mao's research is focused on nanotechnology. She develops new nanoconjugates for targeted drug delivery and applies electrocrystallization for gas sensing. Professor Mao earned her BSc degree in chemistry from Nanjing University, China and PhD degree in chemical engineering from University of Minnesota, the United States of America.
