Biography
Kyaw Lwin Show is a medical doctor trained at the University of Medicine (2), Yangon, and he did his graduate training in University of Public Health, Yangon and got MPH degree. He was trained in advanced Epidemiology and Biostatistics in conducting HIV/AIDS related research from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and is currently seeking his PhD (Epidemiology and Biostatistics) in Khon Kaen University, Thailand. His research interests are in the fields of health systems research, reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, drug abuse and non-communicable diseases. He had many experiences and competent in study designs, developing data collection tools, data base development, data management and data analysis, and report writing. He was experienced in advanced data analysis such as Generalized Estimation Equations (GEE), modified Poisson Regression, logistic regression, post estimation estimates, etc. using nationwide survey data such as Demographic and Health Survey. He was also involved as a data management facilitator in WHO-led national and regional The Structured Operational Research and Training Initiative (SORT-IT) workshops. He presented his research works in many International and National conferences and published quality research papers in reputable journals. He had been involved in reviewing many proposals to be ensured scientifically and ethically conducted. He also had experience on database development using EpiData, ODK/ KOBO collect, data monitoring using ONA/KOBO servers and data management and data analysis using STATA software.
