Biography

Kenanidis graduated MD ‘Cum Laude’ from the A.U.Th. Medical School. Ηe was awarded the certificate of completion of speciality training in 2013. Kenanidis holds a PhD in Orthopaedics and an MSc in Medical Experimental Methodology, A.U.Th. Medical School. Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon of the International Center of Arthroplasty and Revision Orthopaedic Surgery (since 2015). Clinical fellowship in Hip Joint Arthroplasty and Conservative Hip Surgery (EFORT Visiting Fellowship). Research Fellowship in the University College London Department of Biomechanics. Associate Lecturer of the Academic Orthopaedic Department, Papageorgiou General Hospital, A.U.Th., and Director of the Arthroplasty Registry Thessaloniki (since 2017). Head of Clinical Trials Section of the C.O.RE at CIRI-A.U.Th. Senior Research Associate of the U.C.L. Department of Biomechanics (2018-2022). The main author of 80 full papers in PubMed (>1200 citations/ H factor 21:). Contributed to more than 60 chapters in Greek and International Orthopaedic textbooks. He was elected Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in December 2021.
