Biography

Dr. Zia Ur Rahman has completed his Ph.D. on December 20, 2022 in Political Science from the School of Public Administration and Political Science, Jilin University, PR China. He has been awarded a fully funded scholarship in 2017 to pursue his Ph.D. study in China by the Chinese Government (Chinese Scholarship Council). He has completed his M.Phil. in Political Science from the University of Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. He has been awarded the HEC-UNDP fellowship for one year in 2013-14. He has completed M.A in Pakistan Studies and M.A in International Relations from the University of Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. He has been engaged as teaching assistant with the Higher Education Department, the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. His area of research interest are as follows: South Asia, Tribal Areas (erstwhile FATA) of Pakistan, Security, Peace, and Conflict, Governance, China Pakistan Economic Corridor. His Ph.D. study is on the Crisis of State Legitimacy in Tribal Areas (erstwhile FATA) of Pakistan Bordering Afghanistan. The author has published five papers in peer review Journals.
