Biography
Rabah HAMZAOUI Professor Grade
I have performed my PHD thesis at the Nanomaterials group from CNRS in Belfort, France where I have obtained my PHD degree in 2004. After, I have occupied different posts as an assistant professor at UTBM (University of Technology of Belfort-Montbeliard, France), CNRS researcher and an associate professor at FEMTO-ST CNRS laboratory and university of Franche-Comté (UFC) of Besançon, France. In 2010, I have obtained my HDR degree (professor grade) and I have integrated ESTP Paris where I had conducting my research activity.
My thesis work was about Mechanosynthesis and magnetic properties of nanocrystalline Fe-Ni alloys. My major achievement was to show that the coupling of friction mode and shock milling processes has a strong effect on magnetic properties of soft magnetic materials. My post-doctoral research concerned the elaboration of nanostructured materials and their characterization with applications to different domains such as MMS, thermal spraying, shape memory alloys, hydrogen storage in Battery Metal-Hydride, etc.
In 2010, I tackled a new challenge by introducing nanostructured materials in construction materials with the purpose to obtain smart building materials. These nanostructured materials are elaborated by high-energy of milling. In addition to my basic research activity, I was the head of the physical-chemical laboratory in IRC (institute for constructability research) at ESTP from 2015 until januaury 2024. , I have served as a member in several scientific and organization committees for international conferences and invited as a speaker in various scientific events.
Actually, I propose my own construction materials formulations for industrials by my Microbusiness (Low Carbon Construction Materials).
