Biography
Professor of Central South University, doctoral supervisor, dean of department of physics, vice dean of Hunan Key Laboratory of Super Microstructure and Ultrafast Process, member of State Key Laboratory of Powder Metallurgy. Ph.D. of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, joint Ph.D. of University of California, Irvine. Prof. Wang proposes to develop and apply multi-scale simulation approaches such as: density functional theory, molecular dynamics simulations and monte carlo, along with machine learning, high-througput calcualtion and data-driven method to conduct creative exploration and address fundamental physical issues in the design of advanced functional materials (e.g. phase-transition, thermoelectric, spintronic, magnetic, etc.), uncover the underlying structure-performance relations and ultimately construct their Materials Genome Database for technological breakthrough.
Prof. Wang has published more than international 100 SCI papers with many of them being first or corresponding author, mainly includes: Nature, Nature Materials, Nature Communications, Physical Review Letters, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, etc; directed more than 10 National/Provincial level scientific projects; served as editors/editorial board memeber for many international SCI journals such as: The Innovatioin (Impact Factor: 33.2), Mater. Genome. Eng. Adv., Info. Funct. Mater., Front. Phys. etc; served as referees for more than 50 international SCI journals; invited to 100 international symposium and talks; served as reviewing experts for many international organization such as: European Science Foundation, United Kindom Research and Innovation, National Natural Science Foundation of China, etc.
