Biography

I am a PhD Candidate and a Fellow with the Center for Peace, Democracy, and Development at the University of Massachusetts Boston. I am also the Assistant Director of Research at the Indiana University Center for Global Health Equity and the Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare (AMPATH) in Kenya. My research interests are related to global health inequities, the social and political determinants of health and the political economy of health especially in relation to the health workforce. My current research projects are in the areas of (1) community health workforces and health financing strategies, and (2) labor organizing by health workers in the public health sector.
