Biography
Dr Sohail Ahmad is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Poultry Production, Faculty of Animal Production and Technology, the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore–Pakistan since January 17, 2022. He has completed his BS (Hons.) Poultry Science in 2012 from the Department of Poultry Production, University of Veterinary and Animal Science, Lahore. He has 6.5 years of working experience as a Lecturer and one year as a Teaching Assistant in the same department. He has also worked as Research Associate in the project “Development of Meat Type Japanese quail Acclimatize to Indigenous Managemental Conditions through Six Generations of Selective Breeding Program” at Avian Research and Training and Centre for 2 years.
Dr Sohail has received his Master degree in 2014 and PhD in June 2019 from Department of Poultry Production, the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore. In his PhD research, he has worked on backyard poultry breeding. The main objective of his research was to investigate the performance of Rode Island Red, Black Australorp and Naked Neck crossbreds under free-range, semi-intensive and intensive housing systems.
