GIORGIO FABIANI

Biography

Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Paraná (1994). He did postgraduate studies in Neurology at HC-UFPR. He is currently a neurologist at Hospital de Clínicas e Hospital Angelina Caron, in Curitiba, in addition to having 2 Neurology offices (Curitiba and Araucária), effective member of the Brazilian Academy of Neurology, AAN (American Academy of Neurology) and MDS (Movement Disorders Society). Active participation in congresses, International and National Parkinson's courses and movement disorders since 1998, with presentation of courses and lectures. Scientific works published in national and international journals. Former Professor of Neurology and Neuronatomy at Unicenp (2 years). Has experience in Medicine, with emphasis on Neurology (Parkinson, Movement disorders, Alzheimer). Currently works on Parkinson's research, essential tremor and cerebral SPECT with the use of TRODAT 1.
He has worked at the hospital complex at Hospital de Clínicas, Universidade Federal do Paraná, as a Neurologist and as one of the Neurology Residents' preceptors, since 2018. He is the doctor responsible for the outpatient Movement Disorders outpatient clinic at the Hospital Angelina Caron. He works as a neurologist at the HC-UFPR -EBSERH Hospital complex. In November 2015, he participated in the V edition of the Luso-Brasileiro -DBS course in the treatment of movement diseases at Hospital Sao João -Porto-Portugal.
He is currently one of the coordinators (PI) in Brazil of the study ROSTOCK INTERNATIONAL PARKINSON'S DISEASE STUDY, sponsored by CENTOGENE AG, Germany and has a postgraduate degree in Internal Medicine with the theme: ANALYSIS OF THE USE OF THE CEREBRAL SPECT WITH 99mTc - TRODAT- 1 AS AUXILIARY METHOD DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF PATIENTS WITH PARKINSONISM AND ESSENTIAL TREMOR
