Molecular bacteriologist, with research experience and expertise in characterising mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), novel drug targets and pre-clinical evaluation of novel antibacterial compounds. Specialised in Staphylococcus genetics, mechanisms involved in bacteriophage mediated AMR transfer in methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), and nucleotide excision DNA repair in E. coli, a potential target for treating infections.
