Biography

Scott Britton is Senior Scientist for the Duvel Moortgat Group, where he is primarily responsible for research, brewery integration, and corporate quality. Scott received a B.S. in Biology from Utica University, a M.S. in Biotechnology from The Johns Hopkins University, and an M.B.A from Marist College. Presently, he is working towards the completion of his PhD at the Institute of Biological Chemistry, Biophysics, and Bioengineering from Heriot-Watt University. His research primarily focuses on fungal quorum sensing, alcoholic fermentation, and microbial ecology. Scott previously served as President of the American Society of Brewing Chemists (2019-2020) and as a member of the ASBC Board of Directors (2014-2021). Now, he serves as the Editor-In-Chief for the Journal of the American Society of Brewing Chemists.
