Biography

Dr Muhammad Mustafa Abeer is currently working in the area of oral formulation of peptides and hydrolysates using permeation enhancers. The current project is an excellent collaboration of Academia-Industry providing proprietary candidates for analysis. Dr Abeer's PhD thesis focused on developing oral formulations of peptides and proteins using various surface modifications on silica nanoparticles. He has extensively worked with biological assays including Caco-2 monolayer assay and rat intestines for permeability across intestinal barrier. The quantification via HPLC and release profiling of peptides from porous nanosystems is another significant portion of his research work. He takes pride in and loves to continuously evolve in broader domain of Pharmaceutical sciences. He also has taught semisolids preparation and wet granulation technique for tableting to undergraduate Pharmacy students for years.
