Biography
Rich Nuccitelli received his B.S. degree in Physics from the University of Santa Clara in 1970 and an M.S. degree in Physics from Purdue University in 1972. He received his Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Purdue University in 1975. He was a Professor in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of California, Davis for 23 years and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Center for Bioelectrics at Old Dominion University for 3 years where he began studying the use of nanosecond pulsed electric fields for cancer therapy. He is now Chief Science Officer at Pulse Biosciences Inc. directing Research and Development. This group recently developed the CellFX system for clearing skin lesions using electric pulses of energy. He has published over 125 papers in peer-reviewed journals. He was elected Fellow in the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 1995 and in the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering in 2015.. From 2013-2014 he was President of the Bioelectromagnetics Society.
