Biography
Dr. Jianwei Tang is currently a Professor and Ph.D. supervisor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. His research interests span micro-nano optics, quantum optics, and fluorescence spectroscopy. In recent years, his research has focused on "micro-nano optical control of solid-state quantum systems". He has developed micro-nano manipulation techniques to hybrid integrate solid-state quantum systems such as single molecules, single quantum dots, and rare-earth nanocrystals with plasmonic cavities, on-chip waveguides, and photonic crystal microcavities. Such integrations enable the realization of high-brightness, high-stability, and high-controllability quantum light sources, which find applications in optical quantum information processing, sensing, and imaging. He has led projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (including the General and Youth Programs). He has published as first or corresponding author in internationally renowned journals such as Nature Photonics, Nature Communications (2 papers), Light: Science & Applications, Nano Letters, Laser & Photonics Reviews, etc. He has been selected as a Young Leading Talent in Hubei Province, China, and an Outstanding Young Scholar at Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
