Biography
Juliano B. Lima completed the undergraduate course in Electronic Engineering in 2002, and obtained the Master and the PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering in 2004 and 2008, respectively. All titles were obtained by the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). During his PhD, he was part of an internship program at Carleton University (Ottawa, Canada). He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Systems at the UFPE. His experience is focused in the areas of Communications and Applied Mathematics, where he has worked as a teacher and researcher and devoted his attention mainly to the following themes: digital signal processing, fast algorithms, cryptography and mathematical tools in finite fields and their applications. He is a permanent member and current coordinator of the Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering at the Federal University of Pernambuco (PPGEE / UFPE), one of the leaders of the Research Group on Digital Signal Processing at UFPE, member of the Research Group on Communications at UFPE, and a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).
