Biography
Dr. Irfan Hameed has recently been featured in the “World Ranking of Top 2% Researchers” by experts at Stanford University, USA. He is currently serving as a Senior Lecturer at Taylor’s University, Malaysia. He worked as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Business and Management at UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Formerly, worked as an Associate Professor of Marketing and Head of Research at the College of Business Management of the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Karachi, Pakistan. Earlier, he worked as Associate Professor and Registrar of Iqra University and hosted 03 Convocations. He also remained Head of Graduate Studies, Knowledge Unit Leader of Business, and Chairperson of the Department of Marketing in the Faculty of Business Administration, Iqra University, Karachi, Pakistan.
He remained the Editor of Pakistan Business Review (Higher Education Commission - HEC Recognized Journal) at IoBM. He also worked as Conference Secretary and Editor of International conferences organized by Iqra University in 2016-17-18 and chaired technical sessions in various research conferences. He has published over 50 research papers, and a few are under review. Indexing agencies of journals include WoS/ISI/JCR (Clarivate Analytics), Scopus, ABDC, and ABS.
Dr. Irfan Hameed holds his PhD in the Marketing field and has been teaching courses in Marketing and Research at the university level since January 2011. In 2013, he was selected by the HEC of Pakistan for two months of full-fledged professional training in teaching under the “Faculty Professional Development Program” which awarded him the “Master Trainer Certificate”. After that, he conducted faculty training for various institutions in Pakistan.
He is an Approved Ph.D. Supervisor by HEC, and 06 candidates have completed their PhD dissertations under his supervision. He also supervised numerous M.Phil/MBA level theses. His areas of research interest include advertising, consumer behavior, mobile payment systems, tourism, social media influencers, sustainable consumption, entrepreneurship education, and human behavior.
